Waterloo City Council plans to reject $500,000 DOT grant

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The Waterloo City Council plans to officially rejected a $500,000 grant from the Iowa Department of Transportation Monday.

Mayor Buck Clark says the money was for a specific project for a traffic circle on West Fourth and Fletcher.

He says the council and part of the community did not favor the project and rejection was an official step so that the city could give the DOT their money back.
