Waterloo West Girls hold off Cedar Falls 49-42

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Tenth Ranked Waterloo West got a season high 26 points from Athlete of the Week Blaire Thomas to hold off a shorthanded Cedar Falls squad 49-42 a Robert Siddens Gymnasium in Waterloo.

Cedar Falls which played without leading scorer Kaz Brown, but took a 38-37 lead with 4:29 to play on a 3 pointer by Emily Neff. But West outscored Cedar Falls 12-4 to end the game and pull out the win.
