Cedar Rapids teenager charged with vehicular homicide

A Cedar Rapids teenager has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide in connection with a wrong-way crash that killed 25-year-old Kelley McLaren in November.

Police say 17-year-old Chase Goers was driving the wrong way on Interstate 380 on November 18 when he hit McLaren's car head on.

Goers was recently transferred from juvenile to adult court.

Authorities say Goers' blood alcohol content was nearly twice the legal limit.
