Funeral services will be held Tuesday and Wednesday for Russell Piehl, the paramedic who died when a medical helicopter crashed just north of Clear Lake last week.
Funeral services will be held in both Forest City, and his hometown of Denver, Iowa.
The Forest City service is Tuesday afternoon at Immanuel Lutheran Church, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Funeral services will also be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Denver. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Denver.
Russ Piehl was born in Waterloo and graduated from Denver Community High School. He died Wednesday January 2nd, aboard a medical helicopter flying from Mason City to pick up a patient in Emmetsburg. Nurse Shelley Lair-Langenbau and pilot Gene Grell also died in the crash.
Piehl was 48.
