PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. (KWWL) -

A fatal crash on Highway 18 on the Mississippi River bridge near Marquette has killed a woman, injured two other people and closed the highway for several hours, causing a lengthy detour for drivers.  Authorities say the head-on crash happened on the Wisconsin side of the river around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.  The Wisconsin State Patrol says the driver of one of the vehicles died, while two people in the other vehicle were taken to a La Crosse, Wis. hospital.  The highway was closed in both directions for about 3 1/2 hours.  It was reopened around 8:15 p.m.  The Iowa State Patrol said drivers were being detoured to the nearest river crossings - which are at Lansing and Dubuque.
