Kalin scores 21 as UNI women pick up 1st MVC win

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (KWWL) -

Jacqui Kalin had the touch hitting 5 of 9 shots from beyond the arc as UNI defeated Indiana State 54-52 for their first conference win this season.  Jen Keitel, however, was the hero of game knocking down a jumper with 2 seconds left on the clock to push the Panthers to victory.

Kalin led all scorers with 21 points.  Hannah Schonhardt added 11, while Keitel was strong on the boards with 13 rebounds.  Her only points of the game came on the bucket in the final seconds.

UNI (6-8, 1-1 MVC) returns home on Thursday to host Missouri State.
