UNI takes down Illinois State for 1st MVC win

NORMAL, Ill. (KWWL) -

Seth Tuttle hit 8 of 9 shots, scoring 19 points as UNI took down Illinois State 70-60 to secure their first conference win of the season.

Anthony James also tallied 19 for UNI (8-7, 1-2 MVC) while passing 1,000 total points in his Panther career.  Marc Sonnen added 16 in the win.

Trailing 9-7 in the first half, UNI went on an 11-0 run and never trailed during the remainder of the game.  The Panthers play 4 of their next 5 in the McLeod Center beginning with Evansville on Wednesday night.
