Trial date set for Casey Frederiksen in death of Evelyn Miller

BREMER COUNTY (KWWL) -

A trail date is now scheduled for the man charged in the death of five-year-old Evelyn Miller.

33-year-old Casey Frederiksen's trial is scheduled to start on October 28th.

Frederiksen is charged with first-degree murder and first degree sexual abuse in the July of 2005 death of Evelyn Miller.

Her body was found in the Cedar River several days after she went missing from her Floyd home.

Frederiksen was serving time in federal prison on child pornography charges when he was charged with the murder in September 2012.

He remains in jail in Bremer County.
