Iowa wrestlers roll #4 Ohio State 22-9

The Iowa wrestling team passed their biggest test of the season defeating 4th ranked Ohio State 22-9 in Carver Hawkeye Arena.  The #5 Hawks took 7 of the 10 matches from the Buckeyes.

Iowa's biggest win to swing the match came with an upset at 174.  Seventh ranked Mike Evans got a late stalling point to force overtime against #2 Nick Heflin.  Early in the extra period Evans took Heflin down on his back, picking up back points, while finishing with a 9-4 win.

    The Iowa State Athletics Department received permission from the Board of Regents at its meeting today to continue with planning for the creation of a sports performance center, an expansion of the Bergstrom Football Complex, an improved Jack Trice Stadium north entrance as well as new team areas for several Olympic sports.
