CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says a loud party led to the arrest of six people on drug charges Thursday night in Cedar Falls.

Captain Rick Abben says an off-duty deputy was working security at Hillcrest Park Apartments at about 11:45 p.m. Thursday when he heard loud noises coming from an apartment.

The off-duty deputy said when he went to investigate, he could smell marijuana coming from the apartment and called on-duty deputies to assist.

Abben says a search warrant was obtained and deputies found seven people in the apartment along with suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, suspected psilocybin mushrooms and money.

Deputies arrested Cory Douglas Petersen, 23; Derrick Joseph Conway, 24; Travis Scott Rieck, 22; Saturno Hechavarria, 24; Jamie Walter Klith, 24; Levin Steven Klein, 18; and Justina Lynn Davis, 21.

Petersen is charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of psilocybin mushrooms.

Conway and Rieck are charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of prescription drugs.

Hechavarria, Klith, Klein and Davis were charged with possession of marijuana.

All seven were taken to the Black Hawk County Jail.

The Tri-County Drug Task Force assisted in the investigation.
