Two hospitalized after accident in Center Point

Two people were hospitalized after an accident in Center Point on Tuesday night.

Linn County sheriff's deputies were called to the intersection of Lewis Access Road and Grain Lane at around 8:21 p.m. Tuesday for a two-car accident.

Deputies say 39-year-old Angela Harder of Muscatine rear-ended a car driven by 22-year-old Jacob Lovell of Vinton.

Lovell and his passenger, 21-year-old Heather Wendel, were both taken to Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries.  Harder was not injured.

Deputies say all three were wearing their seatbelts.

The accident remains under investigation.
