Man injured while pheasant hunting in Hardin County


A Roland man was injured Saturday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound while pheasant hunting near Eldora.  The Iowa Dept. of Natural Resources says 53-year-old Tim Oelschlager was getting into his truck after pheasant hunting when he accidentally shot himself in the foot.  It happened around 11 a.m. southwest of Eldora.  Oelschlager is currently in an Iowa City hospital where his condition has not been released.
