WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Bond is set at $2 million for a man accused of shooting and killing a Des Moines man.

27-year-old Orlando Deon Moore, Jr. of Waterloo was arrested Thursday in connection with the December murder in Waterloo.

Officers were called to 343 Albany Street, Moore's home, at about 2:39 a.m. for a reported shooting.  When they arrived, police found 26-year-old Anthony Gardner dead.

Investigators believed Gardner, who was from Des Moines, knew someone in the home where he was found dead and did not believe the shooting was a random act.  They also believed he had a girlfriend in Waterloo.

Witnesses told police that Gardner and Moore had been arguing before the shooting.

Moore, who had been in the Black Hawk County Jail on a probation violation since the shooting, is now charged with first degree murder.
