Hawkeye dunkfest downs Coppin State

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Aaron White rattled the rim 6 times while scoring 20 points in Iowa's 80-50 win over Coppin State on Saturday.

The Hawkeye victory was never in doubt.  Iowa stormed out to a 40-14 halftime lead before cruising to the win.  Coppin State's 14 points was the lowest of any Iowa opponent during the Fran McCaffery era.

The only negative came from long range shooting.  Iowa put together their worst effort of the year missing all 17 of their 3 point attempts.

The win moved the Hawkeyes to 11-2 on the season.  Iowa's 6 game winning streak is their first since 2004.
