DUBUQUE (KWWL) -
A line blockage caused a sanitary sewer to overflow at a Dubuque intersection Saturday morning. City officials say that resulted in untreated wastewater flowing onto the street near the intersection of Cross and Coates Streets. The
City of Dubuque Public Works Department was notified around 11 a.m. of a possible sanitary sewer overflow at the southwest corner of Cross
Street and Coates Street. Crews were dispatched to the area and the blockage
removed shortly thereafter. The Iowa Department of
Natural Resources cautions people to keep their children and pets away from the area, which is posted, for 48 hours.
