Don't forget to clear your sidewalks as soon as possible!

Cedar Rapids has a rule that says you must clear your sidewalks within 48 hours of a storm which seems to be standard, but you might want to check your city's policy. Some towns say you only have one day to clear them.

Remember - it's up to the property owner to clear the snow and ice or put down salt to prevent the sidewalk from being slippery, not the city.

It's not just about being a good neighbor.  In many cities, you can be fined if you don't clear your sidewalks.
