Cedar Rapids Police investigate early morning stabbing

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

Cedar Rapids police officers are investigating a stabbing that happened early Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of 15th Street SE just before 5:00 a.m.

A 47-year-old man was stabbed in the upper torso. He told police it happened a couple hours before at a different address.

Police say they'll release more information when the cause of the stabbing is determined.

The City of Waverly says the river is receding and previousily closed roads are starting to open.
