Judge denies halfway house release for Misty Morrissey

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Lyric Cook's mother, Misty Morrissey has been in a halfway house since August.  Her attorney says she's unable to devote enough time and attention to planning Lyric's memorial service while at the center.

A judge denied ending Misty Morrissey's supervised release early and will not allow her to live with her mother.

Lyric's memorial service is planned for Saturday, December 29th at Heartland Vineyard Church in Cedar Falls.  It is the same church where a remembrance celebration happened last Thursday for Elizabeth Collins.
