CR Sal. Army reschedules Xmas meal for Friday, cites weather

The Cedar Rapids Salvation Army has postponed its annual Christmas meal one day due to the impending winter storm.

The organization announced its Christmas meal will now be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21.

Originally, the meal was scheduled for Thursday.

The Army is also canceling its normal breakfast meal for Thursday morning, but Thursday's lunch will be served as usual beginning at noon.

No registration is required for any of the meals and they are open to anyone in need.
