AMES (KWWL) -
For the second straight season, Iowa State running back Shontrelle Johnson will miss the team's bowl game with an injury. Cyclone Coach Paul Rhoads said Johnson suffered the injury during a non-contact drill in Saturday's practice. The junior back is expected to have surgery in January.
Last season, Johnson missed the Pinstripe Bowl with a neck injury.
The Cyclones will take on Tulsa in the Liberty Bowl on December 31.
