Snowflake Express offers train rides for a good cause in Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

The Snowflake Express was a special treat for some Northeast Iowa kids on Saturday, offering up train rides from the Rotary Reserve in Cedar Falls to Shell Rock. A special guest appearance was made by Santa while kids enjoyed the story of the Polar Express.

This was the first year the Snowflake Express held it's trips but was a success with a sell-out of 3500 tickets. All proceeds from the event are donated to the Magical Mix Kids organization, a charity that allows terminally ill children from the area and their families to go to Disney World.
