UPDATED: 7 gold coins donated to the Waterloo Salvation Army

The Waterloo Salvation Army says it's received a seventh gold coin dropped into one of its red kettles in the last week.  On Monday, the Salvation Army reported that another gold coin was donated at a Waterloo red kettle. All of the coins are $50 Lady Liberty gold coins, worth about $1,700.

After the sixth donation, the Salvation Army told KWWL that the organization is working with an auction house to sell the gold coins, and as of this weekend, bids are already exceeding $3,500.  A few valuable silver coins have also been dropped into the buckets this holiday season.
