Dubuque County man dies in Thursday morning trailer fire

DUBUQUE COUNTY (KWWL) -

A Dubuque County man is dead following an early morning fire that destroyed his trailer.

Officials are identifying the man as 84-year-old Leonard Behnke.

Just before 5 a.m. Thursday, the Dubuque County Sheriff's Office and the Centralia/Peosta Fire Department responded to a residential fire at 13103 Sundown Road, just outside Centralia.

Upon arrival, the structure was fully engulfed in flames.

While conducting the fire investigation, officials found Behnke's body inside.
