WATERLOO (KWWL) -
The State Medical Examiner's office in Ankeny will continue testing after an autopsy on bodies found in the Seven Bridges Wildlife Area in Bremer County last week.
Dr. Dennis Klein from the State Medical Examiner's office says the autopsy procedure was conducted Friday, and "there is still further testing that needs to be done."
Klein said additional testing is a normal procedure following an autopsy. He did not know when the testing would be completed.
Information from the autopsy results will be released from Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office, Klein said.
UPDATE: Monday afternoon authorities confirmed the two bodies found by hunters in the wildlife area are those of Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins, who were last seen Friday, July 13.
In an email to media, Black Hawk County Chief Deputy Rick Abben said, "The confirmation is the only information that has been released to us. A full report will be forwarded to law enforcement after testing is completed."
