Iowa State freshman Georges Niang made the most of his first starting opportunity.  Niang tallied 15 points leading the Cyclones to a 93-65 win over Nebraska-Omaha.  Niang hit 88% from the floor knocking down 8 of 9 shots.

The game was defined by a couple of big first half runs from Iowa State.  The Cyclones opened the game on an 18-2 run and would add a separate 18-3 run later in the half.

Six different Iowa State players reached double digits in the game.  ISU was also dominant on the boards by out rebounding the Mavericks 43-24.

The Cyclones (7-3) will face Drake as part of the Big Four Classic on Saturday in Des Moines.
