UNI started off strong in the first set. The Panthers jumped out to an early 5-3 lead over the Huskers. Nebraska slowly started to creep back and eventually tied the set up at 16-16. A kill by Megan Lehman gave UNI the 17-16 lead, but a Nebraska kill in the next play tied it up at 17-17. An attack error by UNI gave the Huskers the 18-17 lead, their first lead of the set. Nebraska increased its lead to 20-17, and even though UNI brought the score to within one at 21-20, the Panthers could not catch back up. Nebraska won the set 25-21.
