CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -
The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Cedar Valley and Courier Communications will present "Cedar Valley Christmas" to a sold-out crowd of 1,500 on Monday night.
For those with tickets, the event is at 7:30 p.m. at Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center in Cedar Falls.
Each of 10 choirs will individually perform a traditional Christmas song, with the audience asked to join in for a few songs as well. It will all lead up to a finale of all 10 choirs singing together.
"The goal of 'Cedar Valley Christmas' was to bring families together, to bring the community together to kick off the Holiday Season," Boys and Girls Club CEO Chuck Rowe said. "At the Boys and Girls Club, we celebrate the talents of each Club member, and this event allows us to celebrate the musical talents of our youth and the entire Cedar Valley."
Participating choirs include Waterloo West High School, Prairie Lakes Church, Met Chorale, Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls High School, the St. Edward's Celebration Singers, Proud Image, Bel Canto Cedar Valley, the Wartburg Chapel Choir, the Children's Choir from St. Luke's Episcopal Church and the Boys and Girls Club.
