Thousands descend upon Kinnick for Iowa-Nebraska game

Posted:

Instead of hitting up the stores today-thousands descended upon Kinnick Stadium for the Iowa-Nebraska game.

Looking at the crowd you could see plenty of red as well as black in gold.

Nebraska fans often follow their team around the country-and some today even tailgated with Iowans.

"Husker is just a great nation," said Darlene Schaffer, Nebraska fan.  "We just have, we just love, it's like a family college. We love to follow our team."

"Of course, college football, the Nebraska and Iowa game is kind of a rivalry," said Gayland Burge, Iowa fan.

The Cornhuskers beat the Hawkeyes 13-7.

The last time Nebraska played at Kinnick was in 1999.
