Iowa City police look for suspect in armed robbery

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Police in Iowa City are looking for a suspect involved in an armed robbery.

It happened at 2:23 a.m. Thursday morning at the BP gas station on 1905 Keokuk Street.

Police say the suspect walked into the business with a gun and demanded money before fleeing the scene.

The suspect is described as black man wearing a jacket or sweatshirt, dark pants and a hairnet over his face.

If you have any information that could lead to an arrest call Iowa City police or Iowa City CrimeStoppers at 139-358-TIPS.  CrimeStoppers is offering up to a $1,000 cash reward.
