Gas leak near Crossroads area of Waterloo

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Utility crews were on the scene of a gas leak in the Crossroads area of Waterloo Monday.

An official with MidAmerican Energy says a third party contractor hit a four inch gas line near Best Buy just after 2:30 p.m.

The fire department blocked off some streets, and MidAmerican crews sealed the line.
Utility crews planned to do more work in the area early Monday evening.
