Man arrested after shooting outside Cedar Rapids bar

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

A man is charged with attempted murder after a shooting outside a Cedar Rapids bar on Sunday night.

Officers were called to Rumors Bar, 400 F Avenue NW, at around 11:33 p.m. Sunday for a reported shooting.

When they arrived, police say they found a man outside the bar with multiple gunshot wounds.  He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital and his condition is unknown.

Police say witnessed disarmed 27-year-old James Breen and held him until officers arrived.

Breen, who suffered minor injuries while being disarmed, was taken to Mercy Medical Center before being booked into the Linn County Jail.

Breen is charged with attempted murder and going armed with intent.
