UPDATED: Name released in fatal crash near Ryan

DELAWARE COUNTY (KWWL) -

A 9-year-old from Coggon has died after a crash in Delaware Co. Saturday.

It happened in the afternoon at the intersection of D47 and 140th St. near Ryan.

The Iowa State Patrol says a car did not stop at an intersection and broadsided a minivan.

Lauren Blanchard, age 9, died from her injuries.

Six others were injured, but survived. The Iowa State Patrol says that several were saved because they were wearing their seatbelts.
