Iowa City police looking for armed robbery suspect

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Iowa City police are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery.

Police say a man robbed the BP gas station at 2315 Muscatine Avenue just before 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers say the suspect entered the gas station armed with a gun and demanded money.

The suspect is described as a five foot five black man wearing a red jacket or hoodie, checkered shirt and blue jeans. 

He managed to escape with an undisclosed amount of money, but no one was injured. He was last seen heading east away from the business.
