One person injured in Cedar Rapids shooting


One person is injured after a shooting Sunday morning in Cedar Rapids.

It happened about 2:45 a.m. in the 4800 block of 1st Avenue Southwest. While responding to a report of shots fired, officers found a gunshot victim.  The subject had been shot in the leg.

That person was taken to the hospital for what appear to be non-life threatening injuries. The Cedar Rapids Police Department continues to investigate.
