AUSTIN, Texas (KWWL) -
David Ash threw for 364 yards and 2 touchdowns as 17th ranked Texas took down Iowa State 33-7.
Johnathan Gray opened the scoring for Texas with a 6 yard touchdown run. Ash then threw a 61 yard scoring bomb to Make Davis and a 3 yarder to Barrett Matthews as the Longhorns scored the first 20 points of the game. Iowa State's only touchdown came late in the second quarter on a 14 yard strike from Steele Jantz to Quenton Bundrage.
Texas added a pair of field goals, and another 13 yard touchdown run from Gray to outscore ISU 13-0 in the second half.
For the Cyclones, Jantz managed just 133 passing yards, 1 touchdown, while he threw 2 interceptions. Iowa State will once again look to gain bowl eligibility next Saturday at Kansas.
