2A State Volleyball: Dike-New Hartford back in Championship match

Defending Class 2A Dike-New Hartford had 18 kills from sophomore all-stater Briana Weber to return to the 2A championship match with a three set sweep over Council Bluffs St. Albert Friday night at the State Volleyball Tournament in Cedar Rapids.

The Wolverines, the last unbeaten team remaining in the state, will face Western Christian or Kuemper Catholic in the 2A championship match Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

Dike-New Hartford hit .396 as a team in the match with just seven attack errors. In addition to Weber's 18 kills and 17 digs, Brooke Morgan added 12 kills while Lizzy Blough had 11.

Council Bluffs St. Albert, who finishes the year at 29-11, received eight kills from Nevada Meis.
