Wartburg College gearing up for Christmas with Wartburg

WAVERLY (KWWL) -

It's one of the biggest holiday events in Eastern Iowa -- Christmas with Wartburg.

The annual event, which started in 1947, is a four-concert series that will feature the Wartburg Choir, the Castle Singers and the Wind Ensemble.

Approximately 350 student musicians participate in Christmas with Wartburg and nearly 7,000 people attend the concerts each year.

The first concert will be held at Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines on Nov. 30.

There will also be concerts at Neumann Auditorium in Waverly at 3 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec 1, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2.
