CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -
A group of elementary students did their part today to encourage people to get out and vote.
Dozens of fifth graders at Grant Elementary School have been learning about the election in class.
Monday they stood outside with flyers and posters and told adults why voting is important.
"Your voice can make a big difference," said Skyler Lynas. "Some people don't want to be left out. A lot of people like to be a big help to our community. Now it's your turn."
A common theme in the flyers-the future is at stake.
And even though these kids can't vote yet, the decisions voters make will impact the students' lives.
