Decorah beats Central Dewitt 21-14 to advance to semifinals

DECORAH (KWWL) -

In 3A -- top ranked Decorah hosts Central Dewitt.

Standing room only on the banks of the Upper Iowa.

First possession for the Vikings and the give to Holt Johansen - nice spin move gets the ball deep into Central Dewitt territory.

Later, Johansen reaps the reward. He takes it in from four yards out. 7-0 Decorah early.

Later, 4th and short for the Sabers and a fumbled handoff ends the drive. The Vikings recover - a lot of turnovers in this game.

Less than 2 minutes before the half and Decorah goes to the air.

Jacob Kvale with the pretty pass to Brett Johnson for the 11-yard score. It's 14-0 Vikings.

Central Dewitt would score two 4th quarter touchdowns but Decorah holds on 21-14 and advances to the semifinals.
