Cedar Falls hangs on for 28-21 thriller at Pleasant Valley

 Cedar Falls faced unbeaten Pleasant Valley in the quarterfinal round of the 4A playoffs Friday night.  
On its opening drive the Tigers' Jake Buck sets up the first Cedar Falls touchdown with a 63 yard run.  Buck had 143 yards rushing in the first half alone.
 
 Next possession… Cedar falls strikes again as Brian Cook goes deep to Brayden Longnecker who runs at break-neck speed on a 70-yard pitch and catch for a two touchdown lead... 14-0 Tigers.
 
With the game tied at 21 in fourth quarter the Tigers pulled it out with just 40 seconds to play, Nick Clark scored from two yards out. Cedar Falls wins 28-21 to advance to meet Xavier in the semifinal round next Friday in the UNI-Dome.

    Trace McSorley broke Hawkeye hearts on Saturday night. The Penn State quarterback hit Juwon Johnson on the final play of the game as Penn State walked off with a 21-19 win over the Hawkeyes.
