UPDATE: Officer, suspect shot in Marshalltown credit union robbery

MARSHALLTOWN (KWWL) -

Police say an officer and one suspect were shot during a credit union robbery in Marshalltown Friday morning.

Capt. Brian Batterson says the Lennox Employees Credit Union at 1004 East Main Street was robbed Friday morning.

Batterson says one suspect shot at the officer during a short chase.  The officer was hit in the leg, but was able to fire back at the suspect, wounding him. 

Both suspects were arrested.  The wounded suspect and the officer were taken to the hospital.
