Cedar Falls police arrest a 20-year-old for burglary

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

Cedar Falls police have arrested a 20-year-old accused of breaking into a Cedar Falls residence in June.

Kelechi Ubochi is charged with second degree burglary and possession of marijuana after police say they collected his DNA from a crime scene.

Police say Ubochi broke into 1423 West 19th Street in Cedar Falls on June 5 while a resident was inside sleeping.

A search warrant turned up items taken in the burglary at Ubochi's residence. Officers say they also found marijuana.

Some residents of southeast Waverly are a little nervous, as the waters of the Cedar River move toward a crest in the next 24 hours.
The City of Waverly says the river is receding and previousily closed roads are starting to open.
