Dike-New Hartford rolls past Sumner-Fredericksburg 26-7

Terry Mooty scored twice as second ranked Dike-New Hartford remained undefeated knocking off Sumner-Fredericksburg 26-7.  The Wolverines move on to face Aplington-Parkersburg in the class 1A quarterfinals.

Dike-New Hartford opened the game scoring 26 unanswered first half points.  Fullback Levi Lynch went up the gut from 4 yards out for an early 6-0 edge.  DNH opened the second quarter with a 4 yard Mooty run.  Mooty later added a 14 yard touchdown to lead 19-0.  Carson Parker then proceeded to hit Sean Morgan on a 23 yard scoring connection just before halftime.

The victory moved the Wolverines to 11-0 on the season.  Sumner-Fredericksburg's campaign ends at 7-4.

Next Saturday, August 26, the Packers head to Denver to play the Broncos at 8:00 p.m. on KWWL. The KWWL News at 10 will run on the CW....
