CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -
Cedar Falls moved themselves in to the class 4A quarterfinals with a dominant 35-15 victory over Cedar Rapids Kennedy Monday night.
Eli Berregaard scored a pair of touchdowns at the Tigers used a dominant running attack to advance. Cedar Falls rattled off 3 touchdown runs longer than 75 yards. Berregaard picked up the first firing up the middle on an 89 touchdown run for a 14-7 halftime lead.
Early in the second half, Jake Buck, aided by a down field block from Brayden Longnecker would go 78 yards for a touchdown to make it 21-7 Cedar Falls. Longnecker followed with one of his own scoring on an 80 yard wide receiver reverse play.
The Tigers move on to face 11-0 Pleasant Valley in the 4A quarterfinals.
