Dike-New Hartford rolls over Denver

Dike-New Hartford finished the regular season with a 2 OT victory over arch rival Aplington-Parkersburg while Denver stumbled into the playoffs on a 3 game losing streak.

To the end of the first, Dike's quarterback tossed it off to senior Alex Young with the 25 yard catch for the first touchdown of the game.

After a Dike punt deflection, Seth Morgan caught a gem in the corner of the end zone just barely staying in bounds for the score, 14-3.

But Denver bounced back in the 2nd quarter as Chase Shedenhelm rushed up the middle for 6.

Dike responded with running back Levi Lynch for a 5 yard score right before half and Dike went on to win 45-23.

Dike-New Hartford stays undefeated with an offense that was too powerful for Denver to handle.
