Jury finds Vinton babysitter guilty of child sex abuse

VINTON (KWWL) -

A jury found a Vinton man guilty Wednesday of abusing a six-year-old he was babysitting.

49-year-old John Vance abused the six-year-old in the summer of 2008.

He faces a sentence of 25 years in prison for second degree sexual abuse. He'd have to serve more than 17 years before being eligible for parole.

Vance was also convicted of lascivious acts with a child.
