Cedar Rapids man arrested following stabbing incident

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

A Cedar Rapids man was arrested Wednesday morning after another showed up at a hospital with a stab wound.

Sergeant Cristy Hamblin says 31-year-old Jeremy Cloven was stabbed with a steak knife in the chest area.  He was taken to Mercy Medical Center and is expected to be okay.

Hamblin says officers arrested 24-year-old Derek Loffer of Cedar Rapids.  Loffer is charged with willful injury.

Police have not released any other details.
