Polk County authorities search for escaped inmate

Authorities are searching for a Polk County inmate who escaped from a residential work release facility.

The escaped inmate is 24-year-old Tibise Nyamouch Joseph. She was at the Des Moines Women's Residential Correctional Center serving time for willful injury and theft. She's black with black hair and brown eyes. She's 5'5" and weighs 157 pounds.

Joseph was placed on escape status at 1:45 a.m. Sunday after she failed to return to the facility as scheduled. Joseph began serving her sentence on November 19, 2009. She was admitted to work release on April 9, 2012.
