A City High team decimated by injury dug itself too deep of a hole against Kennedy.
The Cougars jumped out to an early lead and won their fourth straight, sending City High to a fourth straight loss 40-14.
Down 20-0, Tony Perry looked to give the Little Hawks a spark in the second quarter, returning a punt 83 yards for a score.
But Kennedy would counter.
The Cougars Riley Fergus rolled left and hit Craig Breja for a 26 yard touchdown and a 27-7 lead at the half.
In the third quarter Kennedy's Grant Miller put a hit on Perry that jarred the ball loose. Andrew Johnson scooped it up and took it in the end zone to seal the deal.
Both teams are heading to the playoffs.
