Black Hawk County announces polling place change

DUNKERTON (KWWL) -

When voters in the City of Dunkerton and Barclay and Lester townships go to cast their ballots on November 6, they will have to head to a new location.

The Black Hawk County Auditor's Office announced on Friday that the 1,407 registered voters will cast their ballots at First Baptist Church, 101 Sycamore Street in Dunkerton.

Kyle Jensson, Elections Manager, says the new location will provide additional space.  The former location for this precinct was Dunkerton City Hall.

Jensson says the new location will also serve as their polling place for future elections as well.

All registered voters will receive a postcard in the mail notifying them of the change.  Questions should be directed to the Black Hawk County Election Department at 833-3007.
